Temptation

Temptation is near and not far taking me down roads I dare not go

It’s like gravity pulling so hard and so fast

It’s impulsive, invading even intoxicating

Stealing my will and taking my breath

“Fallen victim”

An innocent soul totally taken over by temptation

It’s compelling me, overpowering me, drawing me into a place of confusion

“I dare not go”

Trying to resist a pull that exist in my soul

Old fleshly desires resurfacing again it’s a feeling like I never felt before

It’s an urge that the flesh is willing to explore

Temptation is like a drug drawing me back into old habits

I thought seemingly ceased to exist

‘So deep', Lord help me to resist

Temptation like an old flame resurrecting again

A form of lust embracing my soul and will within

And totally taken over by temptation!
